What is Influenza?
Influenza which is also known as “Flu” is an infection of the respiratory area which can affect people in masses. Influenza is a contagious virus which can spread from one person to another in the form of sneezing and coughing.
Figures shows that every year about twenty thousand of Americans die due to getting infected from influenza and other influenza related pneumonia disease. Pneumonia & Influenza tops in 6th position of cause of death in United States. More than 90% of 20,000 Americans above 65 years age group die due to Influenza.
Symptoms of Influenza
A person who is been infected by the Influenza virus might not notice any symptoms for few days. The process of evolution of Influenza Virus can take up to 1 to 4 days.
Types of Influenza Virus
There are three types of Influenza Virus and they are Influenza A, Influenza B, and Influenza C. Influenza A virus can affect human beings and all kinds of animals and the rest two type of Influenza Virus, Influenza B and Influenza C can only affect Humans. Influenza C causes minor infection and does not aggravate outbreaks.
